How ControlBoard protects your company's data

ControlBoard® keeps each company’s data in its own database, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States, encrypted in transit and backed up. People sign in with a password or with their company’s Microsoft account through Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory), and an administrator can require two-step sign-in. Every change to the schedule and to time keeps who made it and when.

Sign-in

People sign in with a password that follows your company’s rules, with their company’s Microsoft account (Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory), or with a two-step code from an authenticator app or a text. An administrator can require two-step sign-in for administrators or for everyone, on the web and on the phone.

Your company’s own data

Each company has its own database and its own file storage on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Connections are encrypted, and the data is backed up.

Who sees what

Each person has one role, and subsidiaries and divisions can limit what a person sees to their own part of the company. Connected systems start read-only. Every schedule change, every line of time and every approved week keeps who did it and when.

Common questions

Can we use our Microsoft accounts to sign in?
Yes. ControlBoard supports Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory). An administrator turns on Sign in with Microsoft for your company’s directory, and only accounts in that directory with a ControlBoard login get in.
Is our data kept apart from other companies?
Yes. Each company has its own database and its own file storage. A sign-in, an API key or an integration works in one company and nowhere else.
Does ControlBoard hold a security certification?
We do not claim one. Ask us for anything your review needs and we will answer in writing.
