ControlBoard and QuickBooks Online
What flows where
Your system keeps the money. ControlBoard runs the work.
Every six hours and whenever an administrator asks; QuickBooks change notices can bring a change in sooner. Hours go back when a pay week’s batch is sent.
QuickBooks Online
Customers, employees, vendors, payroll items, pay rates, invoices and the ledger. Cost codes and pay types stay in the payroll file.
- Customers as customers
- Sub-customers and projects as jobs
- Employees as people
- Vendors as subcontractors
- Project status and dates, where the file has them
- Approved hours as time activities, by person and job
ControlBoard®
Schedules the labor and equipment, tells the field, collects the hours and keeps job cost and the forecast live.
Getting connected
Sign in to QuickBooks and approve the link.
Choose whether every sub-customer is a job, or only projects.
Review the first match: records with the same number or name are linked, the rest wait for you.
When you are ready, ControlBoard support turns on sending approved hours.
QuickBooks keeps the books; ControlBoard keeps the schedule, the field and the week’s time in step with them. A sub-customer or project becomes a job the schedule can use the same day it is read. People come in ready for time, with a default employee type and cost code, so the first week’s hours need nothing extra picked.
Each read is listed in the connection’s history with what it created, updated or left out.
