One import workbook for any system

ControlBoard® loads your lists from one Excel workbook: people, equipment, crews, subcontractors, jobs, customers, cost codes and staffing needs. It works with any system that can export a spreadsheet, and with the whiteboard you are leaving. Every row is checked before anything is saved, rows with errors are listed for you to fix, and the rest load. Every list exports back in the same shape, so the next update is a change to the sheet and one more upload.

What flows where

Your system keeps the money. ControlBoard runs the work.

Whenever you upload; a blank cell leaves a value unchanged, so a partial update is safe.

Whatever system the lists came from stays the record for them.

Common questions

How long does it take to load our data?
Most companies have their jobs, people and equipment loaded within a day. Converting your spreadsheets for you is a one-time $1,250 service, loaded and checked with you.
Will a second upload duplicate our records?
No. Rows match by their code and list values by name, so a second upload updates what is there.
What does the workbook not hold?
Rate cards, time entries, actual costs, commitments and equipment rentals are added in ControlBoard itself, or through the API.
