A technician checking the day's calls on a phone

Service companies

Take the call, dispatch it by the hour, see it done

ControlBoard® runs the day of a service company. The call comes in, the dispatcher takes it as a ticket, a short job with the customer, the address and a time window, and drags it onto a technician’s hour on the daily dispatch board. The tech gets it on the phone with directions, punches in at the door, adds photos and notes, and has the customer sign the completion form. The hours go to payroll and the job’s cost is known the same week. The same board schedules your installation crews, trucks and machines, so one system runs service and projects.

Sound familiar?

Calls on sticky notes, and the dispatcher is the only one who knows who is where.

A tech finishes early and nobody has the next call ready.

The customer signed a paper form that reaches the office next week.

Hours typed twice, and nobody knows what each call cost.

7:00 AM

The day by the hour

Daily dispatch shows each tech’s lane by the hour. Unassigned calls wait in the tray with their address; drag one onto a lane at the time it should start, and the day goes to every phone in one send.

A call comes in

Take it as a ticket without leaving the page: the customer, the address, the job type and the window. Drop it on the nearest free tech, who sees it on the phone at once with directions.

Done, signed, filed

The tech punches in at the door, adds photos and notes, and has the customer sign the completion form from the link on the phone. It is filed on the job as a signed PDF.

Hours to payroll, cost per call

The office approves each tech’s week and hands payroll one file. With Complete, each ticket carries its own hours and cost, so you know what the call cost before you bill it from your accounting system.

Common questions

Can ControlBoard create and dispatch service tickets?
Yes. A call becomes a ticket on the daily dispatch board without leaving the page: a short job with the customer, the address, the job type and the time window. Drag it onto a technician’s lane at the hour it should start, and one send puts it on their phone with directions.
What does the technician see on the phone?
Today’s calls in order, each with the address and directions, who else is on it and the office’s notes. The tech punches in and out, adds photos and notes, fills the completion form with the customer’s signature from its link, and messages the office. Without a signal, the work waits on the phone and sends later.
Does ControlBoard invoice the customer?
No. ControlBoard dispatches the call, collects the hours, the photos and the signed form, and knows what the call cost. Invoicing, estimates and parts stay in the accounting system you already use, which keeps the ledger.
We do installations and service. Do we need two systems?
No. The same board schedules project crews, trucks and machines for weeks ahead and dispatches service calls by the hour, and the hours from both go to one payroll file.
