ControlBoard vs Procore Workforce Planning
Procore’s workforce product, which began as LaborChart, plans and tracks labor inside the Procore
construction platform and is priced with it by annual construction volume. ControlBoard® is labor and
equipment scheduling that sits beside the accounting system you already run. Labor, crews, machines,
rentals and subcontractors share one board that goes to the field, and the hours, daily log and
payroll file come back from the same schedule. If your projects already run in Procore, its workforce product
keeps labor in the same place. If you need equipment on the board and a published per-person price,
look at ControlBoard.

Common questions
Is ControlBoard a Procore alternative for scheduling crews?
For labor and equipment scheduling, yes; for project management of a whole building, Procore covers more. Many contractors run projects in one system and dispatch crews and machines in another. ControlBoard schedules labor and equipment on one board, sends it to the field and collects the hours, while your accounting system and project tools stay where they are.
What happened to LaborChart?
Procore announced on 22 October 2021 that it had acquired LaborChart, a workforce management product used by specialty contractors and general contractors that do their own work. Procore said LaborChart would be fully integrated with its platform. A contractor that wants equipment on the same board as labor, with a published price, can compare ControlBoard side by side.
How does pricing compare with Procore?
Procore charges an upfront annual fee by product, based on annual construction volume, with unlimited users, and gives a custom estimate. ControlBoard publishes a per-person price by role: $4 a month for a field worker with the app, $14 with the time clock, $110 for a scheduler, with 10% off for paying yearly.
