Equipment and compliance
How does ControlBoard® keep track of equipment yards?
ControlBoard keeps a list of the yards where your company keeps equipment, each with its address and its place on the
map. Yards come first when choosing an equipment unit’s yard or a move’s destination, so machines are sent to the
right place. A yard’s map location comes from its address, or you can set exact coordinates that stay put and give the
yard the shape of the site. A yard still used by equipment cannot be deleted by mistake. Yards load from a
spreadsheet, which makes setting up a company with many shops quick.
What you can do with it

Common questions
Can I set exact coordinates for a yard?
Yes. A yard is placed on the map from its address, or you can enter the latitude and longitude yourself and keep
them from being changed. A yard can be a pin, a circle or an outline of the site, so the map shows the real
ground.
Can I load many yards at once?
Yes. ControlBoard loads yards from a spreadsheet, starting from a blank template or from an export of your current
yards. That suits a company with several shops and storage yards, or one moving its list from another system.
What happens to a yard I no longer use?
A yard that equipment still uses as its address cannot be deleted, so no machine loses its home by accident. To
take a yard off the list but keep its address, mark it as no longer an equipment yard.
