Scheduling

How does ControlBoard® control sign-in and what each user can do?

ControlBoard gives each person a login with a user type that sets what they can do, from full administrator to view-only, with phone-first types for the field. Add-ons such as project management or the assistant are turned on per person. People choose their own password from a sign-in code, so nobody types a password for someone else. Your company sets the password rules, can require two-step sign-in, and can offer sign-in with Microsoft. Users can be limited to some subsidiaries or divisions. A 90-day sign-in log shows who signed in, when and how.

What you can do with it

  • Control what each user can do
  • Require two-step sign-in or Sign in with Microsoft

Used by: administrators, accounting, managers, field workers

Common questions

Does ControlBoard support two-step sign-in and Microsoft accounts?
Yes. Two-step sign-in works with an authenticator app or a text message, with recovery codes for a lost phone. Your company can require it for nobody, administrators or everyone. Sign in with Microsoft lets in only accounts from your own directory, and it counts as two-step sign-in.
Can I limit a user to one division or subsidiary?
Yes. A user given some subsidiaries or divisions sees only the jobs, people and equipment in them, plus anything with no division. An administrator given one subsidiary runs that subsidiary only, while billing, sign-in security and other company-wide settings stay with the company’s own administrators.
Do users from the old ControlBoard keep their logins?
Yes. Each active user comes across with the same login and the closest user type, keeps the divisions they had, and keeps the way they entered time on the phone. At first sign-in ControlBoard asks each person to choose their own password.
