Time and payroll

How does ControlBoard® check time and send it to payroll?

ControlBoard brings the field’s hours to one place, where the office checks them, approves each person’s week and sends approved time to payroll. Warnings flag days not submitted, punches not reviewed and hours that moved after approval, so problems surface before payday. Payroll gets a file, or the time goes straight to a connected accounting system. Sent weeks lock, and a later fix goes out as a supplemental batch for just those people. The same place handles daily logs, time off requests, punch review and certified payroll reports, with an approval history behind every week.

Common questions

Can managers review time before accounting approves it?
Yes. A manager reviews a week and passes it on to accounting, who approves it. Every week shows where it stands, from draft through approved and locked, and the approval history shows who approved it and what it showed at the time.
Can ControlBoard send approved time straight to my accounting system?
Yes, where your accounting system is connected; otherwise ControlBoard makes a payroll file to hand over. Only approved weeks go out, and anyone left out is named, so payroll never runs on unchecked hours.
Does ControlBoard produce certified payroll?
The pay week includes a certified payroll page for a chosen job. It lists each worker’s class with straight-time and overtime hours for the week, ready to print. Long days and long weeks can be tinted, so they are checked before the week is approved.
