Project management

How does ControlBoard® track submittals from package to approval?

ControlBoard keeps a log of every submittal on your jobs, with where it stands, its current review step and who has the ball. Each revision carries its own package of files, so the version the engineer stamped is always clear. Route a revision through general contractor review, the engineer’s stamp and the return to the submitter, or record the stamp yourself when you send the package outside ControlBoard. A revise-and-resubmit simply starts the next revision. Each submittal keeps its history, and a job’s submittal log exports for the owner or the general contractor.

What you can do with it

Common questions

Can ControlBoard route a submittal for review?
Yes. The latest revision is routed in order through general contractor review, the engineer’s stamp and the return to the submitter. Each reviewer records a decision and a comment, and the ball in court moves with every step, so everyone knows who is holding it.
Can I record a stamp from an engineer outside ControlBoard?
Yes. When you send the package yourself, record the reviewer’s stamp, the dates it went out and came back, and any comment. ControlBoard updates the submittal’s status from the stamp, so the log stays right even when the review happens by email.
Can I export a submittal register?
Yes. Narrow the log to one job and export it as a CSV file to share with the owner, the general contractor or the design team. The log shows each submittal’s status, current step, revision and stamp.
