Scheduling
How do I see who is free and schedule them in ControlBoard®?
The ControlBoard resource schedule has a row for each person or machine and a column for each day, so you start from
who is free. Find an empty day, then drag a job onto it, or one of the job’s activities. One drop can cover several
days. An operator is added to a machine’s assignment the same way. Each row counts the days that person or machine is
scheduled twice, and those days can be picked out and fixed together. The assignments are the same ones the job
scheduler shows, so both views always agree.
What you can do with it
- See who is free
- Book a job on a person or machine for one day or many
- Find people booked twice

Common questions
How do I find people scheduled twice?
Each row on the resource schedule counts the days that person or machine is scheduled in two places. Picking the
count selects those days, so you can move one assignment away or remove it. The home schedule also lists the worst
cases for the next two weeks.
Can I schedule a job for a whole week in one move?
Yes. Choose how many days one drop covers, from a single day up to seven, and ControlBoard remembers your choice.
Any assignment can later be stretched or shortened on its own, without changing the rest of the job.
Is the resource schedule the same data as the job scheduler?
Yes. Both boards show the same assignments. Plan from the job when you know the work, and from the person or
machine when you need to know who is free. A change made on one board is the same change on the other.
