Equipment and compliance

How does ControlBoard® track certifications, licences and inspections?

ControlBoard keeps one catalog of the skills, certifications, licences and inspections your employees, crews, equipment and subcontractors can hold. Each resource carries its own, with the dates it is valid, a reference and the certificate itself, and past renewals stay on record as proof. ControlBoard warns of qualifications that lapse within 30 days and marks the ones that already have. A lapsed qualification no longer matches needs until it is renewed, so the schedule reflects who is certified today. Companies with subsidiaries can share one catalog or let each add its own.

What you can do with it

Common questions

Does ControlBoard warn before a certification expires?
Yes. With equipment and compliance, ControlBoard lists every qualification that lapses within 30 days, with who holds it and its end date, and marks the ones already lapsed. Renewing one keeps its history, so you can show proof of each past certificate when asked.
Can equipment inspections be tracked like worker certifications?
Yes. The same catalog holds qualifications for employees, crews, equipment and subcontractors. A qualification can be dated, so it expires and must be renewed, or undated for a skill that never lapses. Each resource carries its own record of what it holds.
Can a need ask for a qualified person?
Yes. A need can ask for a qualification. Once a qualification lapses it no longer matches needs, so a person or machine whose certificate has run out stops counting toward that need until it is renewed.
