Project management

How does ControlBoard® show a project manager what is waiting on them?

ControlBoard gives every project manager one list of the RFIs and submittals waiting on them, across every job. An item shows when the ball is in their court or a review step is theirs, so nothing sits unanswered on a job they have not opened this week. Overdue items are easy to pick out, and each one opens straight to the full record on its job. The list holds open work only, so closed items do not crowd it. Everyone on a job sees their own items the same way, which keeps the whole project team working from one picture of what is owed and by whom.

Common questions

What does ball in court mean in ControlBoard?
An RFI or submittal is in your court when the next move is yours, or when a review step on its route is assigned to you. ControlBoard moves the ball as each step is completed, so your list always shows what you owe today, not what you owed last week.
Can I see only overdue RFIs and submittals?
Yes. The list narrows to overdue items, to review steps that are yours, or to items where the ball is in your court. Each item shows its job, where it stands and when it is due, and opens on that job’s own RFIs or submittals.
Why is my project management list empty?
An item shows only when you are on its job as a contact linked to your login. Adding yourself to the job’s contacts takes a moment, and from then on every RFI and submittal that names you on that job shows in your list.
