Dispatch and the field

How does ControlBoard® send messages and the schedule to the field?

ControlBoard keeps office-to-field messages in one place, so the people on a job hear about changes from one source. Each person is reached the way they prefer: in the app, by text or by email. When it matters, the office can reach everyone every way at once. After a send, ControlBoard says how many people were reached and lists anyone who was not, with the reason. Sending the schedule gives each person their own jobs, and a crew gets one message per member. Any list or chart can go out as a PDF or Excel file without leaving it. Replies to a text land in the right person’s thread.

What you can do with it

  • Message people from the office

Common questions

Can ControlBoard text and email the schedule to my crews?
Yes. ControlBoard sends each person a message with their own scheduled jobs, by text, email or in the app as their preferences say. A crew gets one message per member, and tentative days are left out. The office can adjust the wording before anything goes out, and corrected phone numbers or emails are kept for the next send.
How do I know who did not get a message?
ControlBoard reports every send: how many people were reached, by which way, and how many deliveries failed. Anyone not reached is listed with the address tried and the reason, so the office can follow up before a crew is missing on site. One-to-one messages between app users show when they were read.
Can I send an announcement to a group of people?
Yes. Pick a whole group of people at once, and ControlBoard can send the message as one announcement rather than a conversation. If one way of reaching a person fails, the others still go out. Administrators choose which sender each person’s texts and emails come from.
