Scheduling

How does ControlBoard® show jobs, people and equipment on a map?

ControlBoard puts job sites, people and equipment on one map for today. People and machines can be drawn where they are now, from live GPS and today’s punches, or at the job they are booked on. Anyone booked at two jobs at once is flagged. Equipment warnings pick out machines away from their job, running while not booked, low on fuel or with no GPS. A near-job filter finds the people and equipment within a set number of road miles or minutes of drive time, so the closest person or machine is found fast. Busy maps group nearby pins into numbered circles.

Common questions

Can we see live equipment GPS on the map?
Yes. When your company tracks equipment by GPS, ControlBoard draws tracked machines at their live position and says how often positions refresh. A machine’s card follows it as it moves, and labels can say what each machine is doing.
Can we find the nearest available people or machine to a job?
Yes. Pick a job and a distance, in road miles or minutes of drive time, and the map shows only the people and equipment within it, measured from where each one is now. A job needs an address to measure from.
Can the map show equipment problems?
Yes. Equipment warnings narrow the map to machines away from their job, at another job, moved or running while not booked, with no GPS, low on fuel, or booked on a job site that is not mapped.
