Forms and daily logs
How does ControlBoard® handle safety forms, checklists and permits?
ControlBoard builds the checklists, inspections, JSAs and permits your crews fill in, and keeps every filing with its
job. A form can be filed as answers you report on question by question, or as a signed PDF. Answers that hold for the
life of a job, such as the address and nearest hospital, can carry forward, while hazards are named fresh each day.
Permits open for a set time, are signed, and are closed or cancelled with their own questions by the person who
started them. The assistant can draft a form, even from a paper copy, and a person checks and saves it.
What you can do with it
- Build safety forms, checklists and permits
- Fill forms in the field and see the results

Common questions
Can ControlBoard manage hot work and other permits?
Yes. A ControlBoard permit opens for a default length, capped at a longest time, and is signed when it opens. It
asks its own questions when closed or cancelled, and shows as expired until closed. Permits are filled by
signed-in users, never through a link.
Can we turn our paper JSA or checklist into a digital form?
Yes. Attach a PDF of the paper form and ask the assistant to build it. It proposes a form you can change, and you
check and save it yourself. The assistant can also review a form and suggest fixes, worst first.
Can we report on form answers across jobs?
Yes. Results show one row per filling with a column per question, narrowed by job, resource, status, person and
date, covering the last 90 days. Each filing opens as it prints and downloads as a PDF.
