Time and payroll

How do workers enter their own hours in ControlBoard® Field?

When a company does not use the clock, ControlBoard Field lets each worker type their own hours on the phone, job by job. Scheduled hours can be taken in a tap, or yesterday’s copied, and a day can be split across cost codes and pay types. Expenses such as per diem and mileage go in with a receipt photo and are approved with the week. At the end of the day the worker confirms the hours, breaks and whether they were hurt, and signs. A yes to being hurt tells the supervisor at once. With no signal the hours wait and send later.

What you can do with it

Common questions

Can workers split their hours between cost codes?
Yes. In ControlBoard Field a worker splits a day on a job across cost codes and pay types. The office then gets hours already filed where they belong, which keeps job costs accurate without anyone retyping the time sheet.
Can workers submit expenses with their time?
Yes. A worker adds an expense on the phone with its job, amount and a note, and a receipt photo when the type needs one. The expense is approved with the week and can be changed until the office has reviewed it.
Does ControlBoard ask about injuries at the end of the day?
Yes. When a worker finishes the day, ControlBoard Field asks whether the hours are right, whether they took their breaks and whether they were hurt, and they sign. Answering yes to being hurt tells their supervisor at once.
