Scheduling
How does ControlBoard® keep track of our employees, equipment and other resources?
ControlBoard keeps everyone and everything you schedule on one list: employees, equipment, material, subcontractors,
plant and crews. Each resource carries what the schedule needs to know, from a person’s trade and qualifications to a
machine’s capacity, plate and cost. Reusable stock such as cones and scaffold keeps a running count. Resources are
never deleted, so when someone leaves, their history stays and their reports move to a new manager. An org chart shows
who reports to whom and prints by level. With the Equipment & compliance licence, equipment labels print for a whole
fleet at once.

Common questions
Can ControlBoard track rented as well as owned equipment?
Yes. Every machine says whether it is owned or rented, and the resource list filters on it. Rented machines carry
their hire on equipment rentals, so the cost of a rental is kept apart from the machines you own.
What happens to records when an employee leaves?
Nothing is lost. ControlBoard never deletes a resource; you mark the person inactive or set their last day. They
leave the pickers, their history stays, and anyone who reported to them can move to a new manager.
Does ControlBoard include an org chart?
Yes. Once managers are recorded, ControlBoard draws the org chart, finds a person, shows crews and lists anyone
not on the chart. People who may edit resources can move people to a new manager, and the chart prints by level.
