Forms and daily logs
How does ControlBoard® keep daily logs for each job?
ControlBoard keeps one daily log per job and day: work performed, weather, incidents, delays, quantities put in place,
notes and photos, with the day’s hours alongside. Foremen and supers add photos, video, notes and quantities from
ControlBoard Field, even with no signal, and finish the rest in a browser. The office accepts or returns each log with
a reason, or accepts a whole day at once. People who see costs get unit cost by crew and cost code, the day’s labor
cost divided by the quantity put in place, so production problems show up the same day.
What you can do with it
- Keep a daily log for each job
- See unit cost from logged quantities
- Accept or return logs, one at a time or a whole day
Used by: administrators, accounting, managers, field workers

Common questions
Can ControlBoard show unit cost from the daily log?
Yes. For each crew and cost code that put quantity in place, ControlBoard divides the cost of the crew’s time on
that code by the quantity. Every log of the day counts. Only people who can see costs see unit cost.
Can supers send photos and quantities from the jobsite?
Yes. In ControlBoard Field they add photos, short video, notes and quantities by cost code. Each file goes at
once, and with no signal it waits and sends later. Weather, safety and delay entries are written in a browser.
How does the office review daily logs?
ControlBoard lists the logs that need acceptance. The office accepts a log, or returns it with a reason so the
writer can fix it, or accepts every submitted log for a day at once. A log shows when hours on that day changed
after it was accepted.
